At the beginning of punk in Germany there were not only 3 legendary festivals in Hamburg but also the "Antifaschistisches Festival" on September 28th 1979 in Berlin which was organised to collect money for imprisoned anti-fascist fighters. Here we not only hear classic street fighting punk from Berlin like Ätztussis and Katapult, but also the not too obvious classic punk bands Hans-A-Plast, Salinos and ST 42 from West Germany and Resisters from the UK. Further bands are Oneway-Subway, Blind Passengers, Auswurf, Meniscus, Fronttheater and Blässe (I'm pretty sure this is not the noise trio with Xao Seffcheque). Thanks a lot for the link! Some other bands played in the festival but didn't get on the tape, like Buttocks. Or at least there's a Buttocks track in their Weird System comp that they say it comes from the Antifa Fest. In the Berlin Punk Rock Bibel there's a leaflet of the festival that lists Crass among the playing bands, I wonder if that ever happened (I don't think Crass played ever in Germany, did they?)
