DAF - Die Kleinen und die Bösen

You can't argue against this record. It's the best the Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft ever recorded and it's one of the milestones of German music in any way. It's way beyond most ndW-records with it's mixture of noisy sequenzers, wild guitars and voices and precicion drumming. Interestingly it's recorded with the help of the late Conny Planck, genius producer of Krautrock - and live by accident as a tape machine was rolling without DAFs knowlwdge when they supported Wire at the Electric Ballroom in London. And also it's a time capsule from a time when you could shout "Die lustigen Stiefel marschieren über Polen" (The happy boots are marching all over Poland) without getting called a fascist ;-) - although I prefer the lyrics "Flieg mit mir davon/mit einem Luftballon/in's Land der Phantasie/in die Bundesrepublik" (Come fly with me/with a ballon/to the land of fantasy/to the Federal Republik [of Germany])! HA HA HA!!!
